This skirt fits just the way I wanted it too. Fitted but not too tight. I can hike, shop, hang out, etc. while wearing it. It is fairly true to size. I am 5"7, 125 lbs. I can wear a size 2 or 4 in a skirt. I got a size 4 and it fits perfect. I cannot wait till the rains stop up here in Northern Calif.. so I can start wearing it!

I can't say enough good things about the Discovery skort. Roll it up and pack it in even the smallest bag for wrinkle-free travel. Or wear it multiple days while exploring new places, and it will look as good on day four as day one. Wash and hang to dry wherever you are and it's ready to go again. Perfect for travel around the world, around the country or around town. One in every color wouldn't be too many!

I have this skort in every color. Seven to be exact. I am 54 years old, live in Hawaii, and virtually LIVE in this skort. It is not too short and not too long. The shorts underneath the skirt are light weight, breathable. Wash them and they air dry in 30 minutes. The zipper in the back makes the skort feel seamless. Some skorts have so many buttons, plus a zipper, and are a hassle to put on and take off. Not so with this skort. One zipper and a small hook. Easy. A zippered pocket is on the top right side. Perfect for a key and a credit card. The fabric is virtually stain proof and even resistant to bleach. I am 5'4", 120 lbs., and the size 6 fits perfectly. Highly recommend!

I am in my 50s and very active. I LOVE this skort! I now have it in black and stone and wear it whenever the weather allows me to wear sandals. I do not have a flat tummy and there is NO PINCH at all. The under shorts do not ride up at all on me! I am 5'3" and about 136 pounds. I ordered size 8 and they fit great. It washes and dries well for travel!

I selected this skort because I love the Royal Robbins brand and it didn't disappoint me! I am in my mid-50's and I didn't want a skort that was too short. It is a nice length and very comfortable and cute! I wore it for a 5k cancer walk and felt stylish! Thank you for offering this choice!

Great Skort - one of the best

I love these, have one in every color for the summer. Shows just the right amount of leg without having to be too decorous when you sit down. They pack light, use little space and do not crease so perfect for travel. Wear them with gladiator flats and you are good to go.

This is the third one of these skorts I have bought in different colors. They are sporty enough for bike rides and hiking, dressy enough to go into a restaurant and comfortable enough to wear all summer. Fit runs true to size. I would buy more if they were offered in additional colors.

I usually do not like to wear skorts, I find the shorts too restricting. But this skort by Royal Robbins is so comfortable, you won't relaize it isn't a skirt. I'm 5'2" 130lbs, athletic build and although the size 4 fit, I found the size 6 to be a little more comfortable. Item dries fast and wrinkles fall out quickly. It will be a go to item in my travel wardrobe. I bought one in every color.

It's exactly what I wanted, fits perfectly, washes like a dream, and is extremely comfortable. Being a person of the short-legged variety, I wear a skort (more comfortable than a pencil skirt) and tights every day (to make myself look taller--hah!) with various tops and jackets and manage to look businesslike and professional at all times.

I bought 3 of these skirts at the beginning of summer. I wore them every day. They are so comfortable! I usually wore them with flip-slops, but could easily dress them up with a cute t-shirt, sandals and jewelry. My favorite color was the black. They all held up well and can withstand another summer of daily use. They are also light and squish easily for tight packing when you only want to travel with the least weight and bulk.

First time purchasing from Altrec. The order was received faster than predicted. The quality of the skort was exceptional and I really liked the design and fabric. The 2 colors I ordered were true to website. I am 5'6" and 120 pounds. I ordered a size 2 (which I normally wear in golf skorts) but was too small. I will return these and reorder in a size 4. Can't wait for the new size to arrive.

Good stretch fabric and fit make for a comfortable skort for summer in town or on a walk. Nice length above knee. Waist is sleek. Black color good for all around wear dressy or casual.

Best short I ever bought comfy!!!!! perfect length for a 68 yr old, wear it to work it can be dressy or casual, although I do wish it had side pockets. Wash and drys great In intend to get another in brown.

These fit and look great, are true to size and are very comfortable and slimming! I am petite and the length is fine as well. I bought a khaki pair in a store and liked them so much I ordered the black and the everglade. I plan on taking them on a trip to Costa Rica as I know they will be very packable and very easy to dress up or down! The only Con I can think of is the stitching is coming apart slightly on one pair-- easy fix for a great wardrobe asset!

This is my second time purchasing this product. I have them in several different colors and wear them all the time! They are cool, fast drying and comfortable. I travel with them as they are wash and wear, and are not so short that they make you feel like you have on a tennis skirt. I walk in them, play golf, and wear as a regular daytime skirt.

I had to do a lot of hunting to find a company that carried this skort in my size. The manufacturer has take them off the market, much to many folks' dismay. Altrec had the best price AND shipped to me for free. Love it! The skort itself is fantastic! I happily report that it fits true to size; the shorts underneath were just the right fit for me. This skort is also super easy to clean-- when I've spilled on it (and believe me, I have) it dries in literally seconds. I purchased this skort primarily for travel, and I'm excited to see how it will perform as one of the few articles I'm taking with me on a three week excursion! Seriously, stop pretending you'll find something "cheaper" and of similar quality. If you can find it in your size, get this skort!

This is a very comfortable skort that hangs nicely on hips. The material has a nice strech to it that gives comfort with movement. The length is very good.

I have (3) of these skorts (tan, green and black). And they are wonderful! Look professional and I can climb ladders in them, too. They don't have to be ironed, either.

the most flattering skort ever!

I am so impressed with this skort. Looks just like a skirt, very flattering cut and length (just above the knee on me, I'm 5'4"), and as comfortable to wear as a pair of favorite jeans! Originally bought for travel, I now wear it at work, for a girls nite out, or anytime I want to upgrade my "mommy look" - the shorts underneath mean no worries when I'm out playing with my kids. True to size, but if in doubt I would order down - the fabric has so much stretch, I found a smaller size provided some bonus tummy control. My problem areas are my "mommy" tummy, hips, and upper thighs, and this skort flatters while at the same time offering AMAZING comfort. Wish it came in more colors; I would love to have several!

I first purchased this in black and loved it so much I bought another in everglade (olive). Both fit perfectly, are stretchy enough to accommodate my greater-than-preferable waist line these days and are very comfortable (I'm 5'9", 148# - I ordered a 10). The length is above the knee at a long-short level, but not so short that I feel like I'm trying to look younger than am. I can't comment on durability since I've had them such a short time, but the quality is so fantastic that I expect them to last a very long time. The only down side to skorts is that I'm wearing double the fabric, but this is a concern only for hot temperatures. Comfort-wise, this skort is so well made that the dual short/skirt fabric is not an issue. I bought the most recent one on sale which seems a more reasonable value.

Love this skort! Great fit, true to size. Washes and dries like a dream. At my age (pushing 60) I had sworn off ever wearing shorts again. This skort is the perfect substitute--it is flattering and goes everywhere. After purchasing my first one I had to buy 2 more. It looks good on me in spite of the fact that I have a tummy and thunder thighs. Wish it came in more colors.

I love all Royal Robbins clothing..wasn't sure how the Discovery skort would fit since I am petite (5'3") and skirts are usually too long on me. This skort fits me perfectly, hits about two inches above the knee. Wore it the first day I got it and received many compliments. Love the material it has enough stretch but doesn't get baggy. I just ordered a second one in a different color.

From office to field

This is the best skirt EVER. I can go from the office to the field by changing my shoes from sandals to sneakers. This skirt Rocks. I even wear it riding my hybrid bike to work. I wish they had this skirt in more colors... I wear a size 6 - 5'5 and 135 lbs.
