I bought this jcket in bright rose. It's warm, confortabke, and stylish. However, the color isn't exactly the color as shown on the web site. The real color is more rosy.

color great. seemed warm. fit everywhere perfectly except the bottom! It was just a little to tight especially with a sweater but only at the bottom...

This Marmot jacket exceeded my expectations. Very lightweight yet functions well in cold, windy weather. Packs well for travel. Detailed Size Specifications were very helpful in determining my appropriate size requirement. Nice color selection.

I love the Marmot Venus Jackets. I have them in several colors because they are so versatile and practical. I reach for my Venus when I'm running out to do errands, walk the dog or trying to warm up in my chilly house. I just purchased a Venus in purple and it's a beautiful color. I order Venus in extra small because I like a slim fit (but not too tight). I am 5'4, 105 pounds. The sleeves are the perfect length, pockets are generous and the quality is amazing. Order now!

The Marmot Venus light weight jacket is just want I needed for cool morning walks. It is large enough to accommodate a sweater on 40 degree mornings and just right for 50 degrees. I will definitely recommend it to friends.

nothing warms like down and this jacket does the trick fit is great. I ordered both the patagonia and marmot - like marmot fit a bit better. great quality. very compressible. perfect travel pillow. buy it - you will be happy, I am.

I was looking for a thinner down jacket to wear on its own or under ski jackets. I have an old really puffy one that you can wear under a shell jacket but not a full ski jacket. The Marmot Venus is just what I wanted. It is very light and comfortable and just fits under my ski jackets. I haven't worn it in the rain so can't comment on its water protection. I have taken it out on chilly fall evenings in Utah and it is perfect for that. I think it runs a bit small - I usually wear a size medium but need a large in this jacket. It is expensive at full price but I think it will be a jacket that you wear for many seasons. If it helps with sizing, I am 5'9" 150lbs and have broad shoulders.

Very light and comfortable. Taking it to Peru to trek Machu Picchu. Ordered a small first. 5'6" 118lbs. Fit was a little short. Not much room in shoulders to wear layers underneath. Looked cute though. Exchanged for a medium. Not quite as flattering, but much more versitale.

I purchased this jacket to have a lightweight down jacket for skiing and casual. I wore it all winter and loved it! The dark violet is a gorgeous purple, one of the nicest purple jackets I've seen in years. I found the cut of this jacket to fit better than most other brands I compared to.

The cut of this jacket is pretty fitted around the hips but has little more room around the chest. Length is great. Super cute but black feathers show thru which makes it look like it has stains. Will probably be returning this :(

It was exactly what I expected, and I love it. This coat is so lightweight you can take it everywhere. I was looking for a down coat that wasn't heavy and bulky, and this is exactly what I wanted. It is light as a feather, but kept me warm walking to work even in 20 degree weather. I love it b/c when I'm shopping in the winter, I don't want to sweat in heavy coat when I'm inside. The size was accurate, I ordered the Large to accomodate my chest size and I was pleased to see that the sleeves were not too long. I bought it in Green and have gotten a ton of compliments. My coworker admired it the other day, and i took it off to show her how lightweight it was. Very versitle and I recommend it for anyone looking for a warm, light weight coat.

I snowshoed in this coat over the weekend. It's perfect for active winter sports. I would not wear this for really cold weather walking to work coat, but for active snow wear, it's great. I was comfortable. I ordered a large even though I usually buy a medium as so many reviews so it ran small. The large fits great. I'm happy with this coat for active winterwear.

Really love this jacket! Purchased it to wear under a Marmot shell but I can also wear it on it's own. I found it to be really true to size and a great fit. Great for winters in Vermont!

I love the jacket. Its nice and sporty and great to wear even to work, but don't let the 800 goose down label fool you. The jacket kept me warm at around 40 degrees, but its not something I would wear when its much cooler without a LOT of layers.

I ordered a size 'large' and at 5'7", 130 lbs, it is a good fit. The jacket is very warm for it's size and weight, very packable, but not a big puffy down coat. For use in bad weather, a wind and water-proof shell would be useful. I chose the jacket in 'green', it is a more vibrant color than is shown in the photos. The quality is high, and except for extremely cold, below-zero weather, I will use it as my primary winter coat.

Got the Medium as I always wear a size 10 on top. (5'4", 140 lbs). It was too snug across the abdomen and hips. Loved the color (violet), but have to return it, as it rides up when sitting.

I loved the dark violet color, and the compact light weight. The reason that it didn't work for me was the sizing. I almost always wear a size medium, but this jacket in size medium was too small for me and the large was too big. I am 5'6" and weigh 135 lbs. I noticed with another Marmot jacket that this brand seems to be cut slim in the hips...which doesn't work well for my fuller hips. It's a beautiful, functional jacket for someone with the same proportions as Marmot's sizing.

The Marmot Venus Jacket in purple is a perfect jacket for the climate that i live in. It is extremely comfortable, the color is great and is probably the most versatile piece of clothing I have. I love the weight and it washes well. I will continue to purchase other colors that I like in both the jacket and the vest.

I'm a fifty-something skier who still likes to look cool. This jacket is my go- to layer over my base layer and keeps me warm on below zero days on the hills of Montana. The best part is my twenty year old daughter likes to borrow it!

I love this jacket. The stitching pattern is flattering, colors are nice with a bit of shine so that even black doesn't look flat, and most importantly, it's nice and warm!

I've had my Marmot Venus for a year, and I love it. It fits well, is just the right weight for a range of temperatures, and layers beautifully.

I bought this jacket over 2 years ago as a layering piece for an upcoming Peru/ Bolivia hiking trip. Not only is this jacket warm, but it is incredibly lightweight, and takes up very little space in a day pack. I practically lived in it for the entire trip, and continue to wear it frequently. It's comparable to Patagonia's ' down sweater' but has a longer length - which is great for everyday wear!

it's very lightweight and a great design. There's not a lot of down in it, which might be a problem if you're looking for a lot of warmth. But for moderate cold it's very nice and packs into one of the zipper pockets for easy transport.

This jacket was a Christmas present from my husband. We were concerned about the form fit and how it would look. We love Marmot equipment and figured it would be great. We weren't disappointed. It's light, but extremely warm.
