Fit was true to size and the construction of the boot seems excellent. The boot fit great and and like my other experiences with Altrec purchases was a great value. The customer service from Altrec was excellent arrived 3 days early and the item was as described.

I've had 4 pairs of these and they have become my everyday work boot. They fit great and are very comfortable, and they keep my feet dry on rainy days. They have great traction so I can walk on metal or shingled roofs.

It is proper for any kind of weather, mostly. Plus, its really comfortable. Great for walking, hiking, and etc. Other shoppers looking for hiking boots, should come and get this one. Its fantastic!

I hiked in the boots for 2 days spending 8hrs each day. My feet where dry & comfortable. I decided to insert my own orthotic into the boot instead of the basic insole provided.

I'm a painter and am on my feet all day. I live and work in Florida and most of my work is outdoors. Needless to say I am familiar with high temps and humidity and my Hi-Tec's breath well. I only recently tried this brand after many years of wearing just about every boot out there. My first pair lasted nearly a year before the sole started to wear thin (uppers were fine). I am on my second pair for work, the first pair being regulated to yard duty, and swear by them. They are the most comfortable boot I have worn regardless of price. They're lightweight and need very little break-in time. My best description of this boot: They are like your favorite pair of sneakers, so comfortable you will forget you are wearing them.

solid looking boots,looks like they will hold up well for my 15 yr old hiking,this summer will be the true test.cant wait to hit the trail.This boot seams to be a great value for the price,I would expect to pay twice this much in a store.

I work on my feet and walk all day long 11 plus hours. These boots are great for my feet and back. They are supportive and yet feel like I'm wearing a tennis shoe with the support and professional look with khaki pants for the workplace.

This is my third pair of these boots purchased in 4 years. I'm a landscaper and I wear these almost every day. It's a comfortable boot that's not too heavy to wear all day. They are waterproof, but the leather will soak up water if your out in the pouring rain. A great work boot for me.

I have been wearing Hi-Tec boots for at least 10 years for work as a Field Engineer. They are very comfortable and durable, and the subject boot provides me the added benefit of being waterproof. In addition, the boot is very reasonably priced for the quality. I will continue to buy Hi-Tec boots.

I went to the Grand Canyon with a pair of Merrell Hiking boots, only to realize that they weren't waterproof and didn't protect my feet from the cold at all! I purchased a pair of Hi-Tec Altitude IV boots from the supply store at the park the day before we went below the rim for a 4 day hike to the bottom and back. They kept my feet warm and dry. They were extremely comfortable, no blisters at all, and had great traction on the loose, rocky trails.

Gave these to my son for XMAS and he just loves them. Said they are comfortable and warm. They kept his feet dry all day walking around in lite snow.

Hard to find size 16 boots. Hiking the AT blew out the sole on REI Monarchs in sz15, needed bigger size so had to give up on REI. These are very good a little too much height inside for my foot. These are doing great so far see how they do on the upper 1/3 of the trail.
