Absolutely great shorts! Nice look and excellent fit. Pockets are deep and functional. The shorts are also exceptionally comfortable. Buying another pair right after I write this review.

These are great shorts. I like the material and the fit of these shorts. I havent had them that long so i cant tell how durable they wil be but overall i am very pleased. I also bought a pair of the pants which i am very pleased with.

Nice shorts, but they do fit on the rather large size. I have had about 10 pairs of Columbia Cotton Shorts, and these are much larger for a size 36 waist than all the rest. They do not seem to shrink either for an all cotton short.

I have both the 9" and 11" inseam in these shorts and like both of them. The fabric used in these shorts seems lighter and softer than the old Roc shorts other than that there is not much difference. Columbia quality just great shorts.

These are great shorts, they fit well, love the storage without the bulk. Can't speak to the durability yet. The Lander short also is a good choice, just a different pocket design.

i have been wearing these shorts for years and for the first time the quality has gone down. The weight of the fabric feels like it weighs about 2/3 of what the material was two years ago.

These shorts I use for work and they are very roomy and comfortable. I go up and down ladders all day and they never feel tight. The croctch has ample room for all day comfort

I like a lot of room. These shorts were cut a little tight for me. Otherwise the shorts looked promising in all other respects. If you like a slimmer fit or your thighs are not on the thicker side then these may work for you.

I purchased the same shorts last year and had good luck with the fit and durability so i ordered another in a different color. Wouldn't really consider them for the trail but nice casual shorts for hanging out and lounging. Overall a good product if you can get them at a good price.

I bought the ROC short to replace my Utilizer IIs (yes, I like columbia gear) and they are worth every penny. I am P.E. teacher and coach, so I need comfortable/practical clothing, and these fit the bill. Only con is the snap (not button) at the top of the fly can open up at times (and no, its not cause I'm fat - but thanks for mentioning that).

I stumbled upon the ROC shorts and they are my new favortite! Fit and look great! I like the length a lot because too many shorts now a days are too long and go to the knee or below. These shorts make your legs look great, fabric is amazing and style is fantastic. I need a pair in every color they make.

I love these shorts! They are great for just casual wear but are plenty durable for hiking/backpacking as well. You can't beat the price either, in the store they are at least $10 more.

Well constructed with reinforced stitching in all the right places. Very stylish and comfortable to wear. The cotton fabric is very soft. Fit is true to size. Going to buy another pair! I would recommend these shorts to fiends!

True to size. Very comfortable because of its 100% cotton. The style is just normal at first sight. UPF 50 will be a huge protection but I've not verified this function yet.
