These are more comfortable than any pair of jeans I've owned and don't look as "dressed down". I like the way they fade with washing but it might annoy some. There is also, not surprisingly, some shrinkage in length if you put them in the dryer. Overall, highly recommended.

I've had numerous pairs over 20+ years. All are still around (I think anyway), just in various states of wear/tear. I also own the shorts, similar wear/tear factor, I'd recommend these to anyone wanting solid work pants, either for a job, around the house, etc.

These classiic Carhartt pants are very durable and well designed. Look good but designed for comfort. Altrec has the best price that I've been able to find.

This was not only my first order from this website, but also my first time purchasing Carhartt pants. The size fit was perfect and I was actually surprised to find my size (a size 28 waist is hard to find). The purchase was shipped in a timely manner-all in all, no problems!

Comfortable, relaxed fit with plenty of room to wear with a pair of long underwear on cold, winter days - also very comfortable when wearing my bags over them - no chafing or rubbing against my skin. Used for working on a job site - usually multiple days in a row, they are durable and wash really well. Have had them for several months now, they are worn often, take a beating when worn and are still in great shape. Would highly recommend and will buy again when I eventually need another pair.

definitely order a size up...i didn't and had to return and get the bigger size...but of course altrec was awesome and even sent a 25 percent coupon so the second order was cheaper than the first...this is an exceptional site!

These pants are great. Very comfortable and the quality is excellent. My only surprise was that they run longer than other brands I have purchased. I usually wear a 34 inch inseam in other brands, but these were more like 36 inches. I washed 1 pair to see if they would shrink enough to be useful, but they did not shrink at all. I have to send back the rest of the order for this reason, but I am just going to re-order them in 32 inch inseam. Waist size was right on, only the inseam ran long.

I am a long time fan of carhartt pants, but have trouble finding my size. Usually my size is sold out, or they don't carry size 33 waist. Great durability- thank you for having a good selection of colors too. I will return...

These pants are some of the most durable on the market. I have hiked through thorny brush in them already and not even a thread loosened on them. They fit true to size but need some time to break in (couple hikes). I got the black which are very hard to find outside of online. Overall a great purchase considering the deal i got on them on cyber monday. Thanks Altrec!

I've bought so many pants and jeans over the years that don't fit comfortably and that wear out too quickly. When I found these washed duck work pants a few years back, I knew I couldn't ever go back to other cheaper styles. The dungaree fit is generous and comfortable to move and work in. The quality and strength of the duck canvas is incomparable. The sewing and manufactured quality is of a high standard. They don't wear out or tear like so many others do. I'll continue to buy and wear these pants for years to come.

I have owned these pants in the past. I mainly wear them to work where I need the durability. I used to wear denim jeans but they didn't wear as well or hold up as long as these Carhartt Dungaree's. They are very comfortable also. The only issues I have with these pants are that they shrink up in the length quite a bit and the inseams will vary in length when new. I purchased two pairs and measured the inseam of each pant, one pairs inseam was 1" longer than the other pair, on the same size pant (34x32).

These pants are one of my favorites. They are very comfortable, very durable and fit just right. Sizing is right on the money...I weigh 152 and am 5'6" tall..got 33x30. Can be used as casual pants or workwear, they look good! A little pricey but worth it.

Inconsistent Sizing

I love these pants but I never know what I'm going to get for sizing. I ordered 2 pair of 31x34 and one pair is 4" longer than the other. This has happened to me before and I am very annoyed with having to repackage and ship things back because of poor quality control. When the pants fit I love them!

Very good quality pants and last forever. Fit just a little on the small size, so, if you have any doubts go one siz bigger in both the waist ans inseam. I would highly recommend.

warm, durable, very comfortable, like it so much! thinking of getting one more pair of different color. The only problem is that i am 5'11 and the 32 inseam seems to be a little bit too long for me.

I am a carpenter and hard on pants, jeans only last a month or so. I have had these for two weeks and there is no sign of wear and tear. I am 5'10" and 175 lbs. and the 33x32 is slightly long on me. I am going to buy another pair soon.

Order up a size! I agree with previous reviews regarding Carhartt`s "sizing issues". Carhartt`s fit on this item is off about 2 inches. I have found, through trial and error, that you must go up a whole waist size when ordering the washed duck work dungaree. Once you`ve finally gotten the right size and broken these "jeans" in, they will become a favorite.

This work pant is great to work in as a mechanic. The pockets are handy and fit a cell phone perfect! Seems like they will hold up well for a long time.

I put these on the day I got them and they were super stiff but over the course of about 3months they loosened up considerably so much so that they became the only pair of pants I wore through the entire winter/spring. I love them and would highly recommend them, durable and wear resistant to the T.

Another great Carhartt product! I must say if you want a durable work pant then look no further!!!! This pant will blow away the ole Levi blue! I must however say, the sizing is a little inconsistent. I've worn 32/34 for years. I'm 6'2" and 185lbs with a muscular build(not olympic bodybuilder). I ordered the the Carhartt brown, dark brown, and grey. The dark brown was prob a true 33" in the waist and a little bit baggier throughout the legs which I didn't care for. The light grey ran true to size. There was a little inconsistency with the roominess throughout the legs with the Carhartt brown color. I ordered 3 pairs and and they seem to all be a tad bit different, but nothing to send back over. Just look at the optimists point of view, 100% satisfaction gaurantee by Altrec, worn or not. All you need to do is order, wash, wear, and decide if they make the closet!

I don't know what duck pants means but these are very durable comfortable pants I know will serve me well as long as they fit. They fit well and it will be nice to get a discount for writing this review. Altrec has decent products at good prices.

I ordered three pairs of these pants at the same, all the same size. Two of them fit good and the third one fit way to big. Carhartt makes good pants, but there quality control on sizing is not to good. It makes it hard to buy them online.

Great pants and really love the dark brown color. I've always felt Carhartt's fit a little small through the waist but other than that there great. I have several pairs and I'm never disappointed with the durability of these pants.

These pants fit just great. I am 6' 3", 240 lbs. I bought the 38w, 36l, pants. The sizing guide reflects a perfect match. I have big legs (just muscular, I guess) so the pants fit me perfectly around the leg. Most pants are very tight around the leg for me. The bottom of the pant is wide. Great for work boots! However, I only plan to use these pants for riding my motorcycle. I like the color selection of these pants.

You sholud order next waist size up. The inseam was true to size. Colors are nice. Fit is perfect when you have the right size. I've had these pants for years very comfortable and rugged.

I'm writing this review for my husband.. he insists these are the best work pant. The are slightly worn in, so not as stiff as the regular duck pant, so it makes them more comfortable, but still last a loooong time. He used to buy the double front but said the only part that lasts longer on those was the knee..it would still wear out in the normal places.. those are recommended if you do floor sanding or something, but not for general carpentry or masonry work. Altrec has great prices and fast shipping.. so will def buy this product here again.

I bought these pants with the intention of abusing them. I've gone crashing through thorns and brush, and crawling around on the ground. So far they have held up admirably. Very durable. I love the mushroom color. It's blends well in the woods during winter in the midwest. Highly recommended if you want a pair of pants that will take some rough treatment.

Carhartt is essentially the gold standard in work wear, especially canvas/duck . The fit is always difficult to gauge though as the different pants and styles run slightly different- so a 32 in one style fits differently than a 32 in another; nevertheless, the overall fit, style, quality, and durability is outstanding.

Everything about the fit is comfortable. Even the pockets are large. Sorry I am an ofc worker because they are my first choice to wear outside the ofc.
