Best pants I've tried!
February 12, 2012
The Burton Lucky snowboarding pants are warm, durable and stacked full of features. Pockets are plentiful, and are velcro + zipper or button reinforced to safely keep anything you place in them. Pants to jacket interface attach the pants to your Burton jacket to keep snow out. Inside of the waistband, there is a feature to tighten the pants or let them out some, effectively adjusting the size depending on whether you're layering or not. They have the Sig-fit, meaning they are a bit "baggy" and have tons of room to move. I'm tiny, and I've tried Burton's slimmer fits, and don't like the restriction of the tighter pants. The Lucky will give you lots of flexibility and you'll never feel like you're stuffed into these pants. The SAMPLE pants that Altrec sales are the exact same, tags, branding and all. If they have them available, get them for an awesome discount!

These pants fit very nicely - not too baggy, not too tight. However, I did visit a local store first to determine my size. I am 5'6" and 140 lbs. I would have bought the S except that the length was too short; the M fits quite well. The color is great, but I'll observe that after spending much of the day on the ground (I'm a newb), the pants did not exactly keep water out. I could see (but did not feel) that a little water had seeped in by the end of the day. Overall, I recommend.
Pros: Great design
