and although I haven't yet tested these snowboarding pants on-mountain, they seem like they'll be great & I'm happy with my purchase. First pair I ordered was too large; had to exchange for a size down. Love the color and fit. Just wish it had front pockets up near the waist, rather than just on the legs. Those are tough to get into due to the placement and velcro closure... you'll have to remove your gloves any time you need to open them.

After much trial and error, I finally found the perfect new pant! These pants are well lined and warm, very comfortable and easy to move it. The pockets are dual enforced, so anywhere you see a flap, the inside of the pocket also has velcro. I love burton for there attention to detail and usefulness. The waistband adjustment is on the interior so although not pictured, it's there. It's good for giving you a little cinch to make them snug, but if they just too big, forget it. When cinched more than an inch or so, the folds occur right on your hips, instead of in the back so it looks obvious you've got fit issue. So as far as fit goes, if you're between two sizes (as many brands vary that much) go with the smaller of the two! I found that even on Burton's website, their size chart was way off. According to the chart, I wouldn't even fit into a small, so I ordered a medium, but they ended up too big and I had to exchange them. I wear size 27-28 jeans and a small is still slightly loose but perfect. I have tried on other brands, and sometime the medium is tight on me, so I think of Burton as running large. Definitely no difference in "sample" versus the real thing, just a super great deal for this quality pant. I got the Prince of Whales Plaid and it is the perfect shade of light grey from afar and has a subtle houndstooth pattern in it, I love it!
